Radiologic Associates of Middletown RAM Radiology has board certified interventional radiologists to perform all your embolization needs. RAM Interventional Radiology procedures are performed at Middlesex Health.
Embolization is a minimally invasive procedure used to block the blood flow to blood vessels. Radioembolization is a procedure which combines radiation therapy and embolization to treat cancer.
Radioembolization is used primarily to treat cancer in the liver. The disease may take one of two forms: Cancer that has spread (metastasized) to the liver from a primary tumor elsewhere (such as colon or breast cancer) or cancer that first arises in the liver (such as hepatocellular carcinoma).
RAM Interventional radiologists are specialty trained to perform Y90 procedures.
Contact your doctor to see if a radioembolization procedure is appropriate for you.
To schedule a consultation, please call RAM Radiology at 860-346-8481.
