Deep Vein Thrombosis Angioplasty (DVT)

Radiologic Associates of Middletown RAM Radiology has board-certified interventional radiologists to perform your deep vein thrombosis angioplasty. RAM Interventional Radiology procedures are performed at Middlesex Health.

Deep Vein Thrombosis Angioplasty (DVT) happens when a blood clot forms in your leg or pelvis and interferes with the flow of blood.

An angioplasty is a procedure that uses a catheter to insert and open a small balloon in the narrow vein. Clot-dissolving medication can also be used.

With deep vein thrombosis (DVT), blood clots form in the large veins deep within the legs, pelvis and sometimes in the arms.  If the blood clot makes its way into an artery in the lung, it is called a pulmonary embolism (PE).

Contact your doctor to see if a Deep Vein Thrombosis Angioplasty (DVT) procedure is appropriate for you.

To schedule a consultation, please call RAM Radiology at 860-346-8481.

Individual patient consultations are held at our MVAC office, 57 South Main Street in Middletown, CT.
