IVC Filter Placement and Removal

Radiologic Associates of Middletown (RAM Radiology) has board-certified interventional radiologists to perform your IVC filter placement. RAM Interventional Radiology procedures are performed at Middlesex Health.

Inferior Vena Cava IVC filter placement is a procedure where a small metal device is placed in the vein to prevent large clots from getting to the heart and lungs. These clots come from the veins in the leg or pelvis through deep vein thrombosis (DVT).

Contact your doctor to see if an IVC filter placement procedure is appropriate for you.

To schedule a consultation, please call RAM Radiology at 860-346-8481.

Individual patient consultations are held at our MVAC office, 57 South Main Street in Middletown, CT.
